I’ve attended Makaha Elementary, Hawaii Baptist Academy, Waianae Intermediate, and graduated Waianae High school. I was raised with all the fun and excitement a kid could have: Feeding chickens and keeping them healthy for my papa (we all know how it was back then), Preparing the Imu and the food to go in the Imu for family parties (Which was like every weekend), Learning to play an instrument by ear and singing with the family Kanakapila Style, Countless ghost stories only applicable to waianae, diving at secret menpachi holes and not over fishing, whipping at makua early in the morning, Camping at yokes when you could actually park on the grass. These are countless and priceless keepsakes that rooted me here in waianae. There really is no place like the westside."
