Only if there is more than one candidate from the same party in the same race, is there a primary vote on August 9th.

Otherwise, races with only one candidate of each party go straight to the General Election on November 4th

You will only be able to vote within one party in the primary race.

The winner of any party Primary will race against the winning Primary candidate/s from other parties in the General Election.

In the General Election November 4, you may vote for candidates of different parties if you choose.
ALL (4) NON-PARTISAN CANDIDATES FOR GOVERNOR ARE INELIGIBLE BECAUSE THERE ARE NO NON-PARTISAN CANDIDATES FOR LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR. THEY WILL STILL APPEAR ON THE GENERAL ELECTION BALLOT BUT ANY VOTES CAST FOR THEM WILL BE INVALID AND WILL NOT COUNT.
