  • Only if there is more than one candidate from the same party in the same race, is there a primary vote on August 9th.

  • Otherwise, races with only one candidate of each party go straight to the General Election on November 4th

  • You will only be able to vote within one party in the primary race.

  • The winner of any party Primary will race against the winning Primary candidate/s from other parties in the General Election.

  • In the General Election November 4, you may vote for candidates of different parties if you choose.

ALL (4) NON-PARTISAN CANDIDATES FOR GOVERNOR ARE INELIGIBLE BECAUSE THERE ARE NO NON-PARTISAN CANDIDATES FOR LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR. THEY WILL STILL APPEAR ON THE GENERAL ELECTION BALLOT BUT ANY VOTES CAST FOR THEM WILL BE INVALID AND WILL NOT COUNT.
