I graduated from Konawaena High School in 1970 and worked at the Kona Inn Hotel in Kailua-Kona as a dining room hostess and then at AVCO Financial in Kealakekua as a clerk/cashier. Thirty-year paralegal career while living and working for local law firms in my home town of Kona. I received paralegal certification in 1996 from the University of Hawai'i at Hilo and from 2001 to 2005 I worked for the Legal Aid Society of Kona as a Senior Citizen and Social Security Disability paralegal advocate. Legislative Assistant for Councilmember K. Angel Pilago and then served as Legislative Specialist with the County Council's Legislative Research Branch at the West Hawai'i Civic Center. Currently, I am the appointed Deputy County Clerk for the County of Hawai'i. Married to Russel David, II two children, three grandchildren. Ran unsuccessfully for Council in 2010 and 2012 before becoming Deputy Clerk.

The same union supporting Maile has spent almost a quarter million dollars simultaneously attacking pro-environment, home rule and GE disclosure and regulation Sierra club endorsed Council candidates in Maui and Hawaii counties. PRP spent millions in the Honolulu Mayoral race where over fifty precincts ran out of ballots, to elect Caldwell so the rail will be built. Caldwell won and the rail is over budget.
