"Geothermal, it's not cheap, it's not clean and it's not renewable. We have had geothermal on this island for thirty years and we yet we still pay the highest rates in the nation. Not only the highest, we pay more than double what number two pays, which is New York. It's not cheap. That's a myth... Putting all of our energy resources on the Kilauea East Ridge zone is insane and we should not put any more energy down there at all. It's just a matter of time until a lava flow comes and either covers the plants or the transmission lines... People are sick and they don't know why, they have avoided health studies for thirty years and avoided them really hard for the last two years... The neighbors around there want answers."
