Kealoha Kalama is an angel, literally. She has been living organic as long as any of us can remember and she embodies her name. She is a sustainable fashion designer and the owner and designer of Husker of Hearts. Some of her bikinis are featured in the calendar and she is a perfect reminder to STOP GMO and be aloha. Ryelee is a Kauai native we love to pieces! Ryelee is a pescatarian and long time hula and Tahitian dancer. She is a phenomenal dancer and can be seen all over Oahu and the Hawaiian islands dancing, often with Miss October! A mermaid in the water and TOTALLY NON-GMO, we adore her aloha spirit. Rachell is an amazing North Shore girl with the organic farming background to prove it! She ran a Waiahole organic farm for years and now gardens her private property with lots of love. She is amazing with aromatherapy and runs her own essential oils company, Surf doTERRA International. Rachell doesn't like GMO's, won't eat them and won't feed them. Moriah is an amazing nonGMO activist and North Shore organic farmer. She is an owner of Kona Pele organic Hawaiian coffee and the Vice President of Friends of Sunset Beach. A designer for Navaratna Jewelry, Moriah has been helping fight GMO and expose corruption in Hawaii and is our sweet hookup with Da Hui. Jas Kalama has a non-gmo garden in her yard with imported certified organic seeds (non-gmo project verified). She is also paraben-free and is opening a local stuffs only boutique. She owns and runs an organic daycare in Haiku, she provides all meals and snacks. NO GMO's there. Nomi Carmona is the founder and President of Babes Against Biotech. She studied organic farming and CSA's under Kimberly Clark, Ph.D. in Waimanalo. She served as the Executive Secretary for the Waianae Coast City Council working for GMO fighting hero Councilman Tom Berg. Nomi is the political watch dog of the group and testifies regularly, now operating BAB. Celeste Mosqueda is our beloved island girl originally from the LBC. For years though, she has stayed deep in the jungle of Kahaluu, blessing her ohana and the people and visitors of Hawaii with her beautiful polynesian and Tahitian and fire dancing. She is vegan, has a lovely garden and the most beautiful aloha. She doesn't eat GMO, and believes we should respect nature infinitely. She is very spiritual, you have to be to play with fire! Chisa is our Maui girl with tons of aloha for the people and no love for GMO's! She wants GMO's OUT OF HAWAII and to stop experimenting on us! Aubrie Marie is both our cover girl and our Miss December! She is one of Hawaii's most beloved Gogos, bikini model, actress and one of Kariel's Mermaids. Aubrie is our media BAB and runs our Instagram, she has testified at many hearings against GMO's and marched against GMO and at Ainafest 2012. She is mostly vegetarian and an amazing cook and surfer. Although we are a non-profit, in order to retain full rights to free speech in our ability to lobby for regulation and be involved politically, donations are not tax deductible. We hope to attain a c4 non-profit status which does not allow tax deductible donations. However all proceeds from calendar sales and all donations go to environmental education and stopping open air GMO's as a not for profit corporation. We need to eject the GMO supporting politicians.
